Muzvare Betty Makoni was featured by Metro Newspaper which is the third largest newspaper in UK exposing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and challenging UK to step up prosecutions of perpetrators because girls who experience FGM go through trauma and pain. She went on to share her personal experience of Female Genital Mutilation which traumatised her at age 8. Since then some pro FGM campaigners have formed a Facebook page to campaign against her stance to have FGM which is labia elongation stopped on minors. She has been threatened and insulted from every corner. FGM campaigns are happening everywhere in the world.
