60 MINUTES WITH PAULINE LONG

Tell us about yourself & your company; what services do you offer and where would you say the company is at the moment?
I'm an entrepreneur, TV presenter with my own show THE PAULINE LONG SHOW on Sky Channel 182 in UK, I'm a fashion designer, a music video director and producer, a mentor and I run various other entities one of them is an award-winning film studio.

How would you say the entertainment industry has grown since you came into business?
Like any other industry the entertainment industry has many wings and is always evolving, it involves many creative individuals like myself hence we are constantly creating new ventures. I have been in it for 9 years and it is definitely different from when I started, the biggest difference is the amount of your creativity in the industry.

What would you attribute this to?
The ever growing demand of the industry and the need to expand because the world has gone global. I'm based in the UK but I'm able to do business with people in the USA, Canada, Australia, Africa and the rest of the world.

What advise would you give to budding entrepreneurs, especially youngsters and people looking to start up a business in the Entertainment Industry?
Builders don't build a big block in one day, they take time to lay bricks one after the other day after day and soon they have a wall so therefore I would encourage anyone who wishes to start in the industry to start now and start small day after day, make mistakes, fail and fall. Do not fear because in the end success and victory awaits.

You would be hosting BEFFTA, what do your guests expect in London?
We are celebrating 5 years of honouring Africans and Caribbean personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts, so it is going to be a grand celebration which will take place over 2 days, 25th October and 26th October

I know that you have a music studio designed to enable people especially young ones achieve their dreams, how successful would you say you have been in achieving this?
At East End Studios, we film with not only signed artists but we have supported many unsigned artists to get to the next level. Many have gone on to be signed after we shot amazing music videos for them, so I'm really proud of my team at the studio for their wonderful work.

What does the future hold for you and your company?
I have major projects planned in the next few years, I'm working hard behind the scenes to ensure they become successful
Pauline Long said,  “the team is working hard behind the scenes to ensure a truly talented community is celebrated in a magnificent way. Many of these talented personalities put in a lot of hard work in their chosen industries and it is only fair that they are appreciated.”

The glamorous awards ceremony honours and celebrates Musicians, Comedians, Actors, Actresses, DJs, Models, Fashion Designers, Film Directors, Music Producers, Authors, Dancers, Choreographers, Promoters, TV Presenter, Radio Personalities, Radio stations and more.
